The last few weeks have been devoted largely to helping my daughters prepare for their fall semesters; one is starting at a new school, the other spending a semester studying abroad. They are big girls now, but (fortunately) my mothering skills were needed and I, of course, was happy to oblige. I delivered the second one to her destination just before Labor Day. On my own again, I was able to spend some of the long, rainy, holiday weekend in my studio. While there I focused on editioning the two mezzotints plates started during the June workshop I attended in Florence . Below are my first and second attempts at this printmaking process. They may be my first and last, but I hope not.
